The Rules consist of two sections: the Rules of Competition and the Rules of Evidence. Except where otherwise indicated by italic type, the New Mexico rules are consistent with the rules used at the National Championship.

  • The Rules of Competition explain how the competition is conducted what the judging criteria are, how the power matching scoring system works, time limits, and much more.
  • The Rules of Evidence explain the evidentiary issues that arise in mock trial, and they have been simplified for use in the program.
